I have been an artist all my life. My talent for drawing and painting was recognized at an early age and so began a lifetime of developing that talent. I majored in art in both high school and college, and I illustrated my first children’s book while earning my degree in illustration from Columbia College.
Throughout my many years in school and in the professional workplace, I had created countless pieces of art and illustration, but the most difficult skill, I found, was to create freely. In all the years of formal instruction and developing my artistic skills, I learned, perhaps, the most difficult skill was letting go!
